Scotcoin is delighted to announce it has teamed up with Kin platform – operated by Better Internet Search – where it will now be accepted on the ad-free, community-owned search engine built on Web3 technology and developed in Scotland.
Each new sign up to Kin will receive 100 SCOT, in addition to 100 Kin-MPC tokens. Users will then be able to donate to selected Scotcoin partners in the third sector.
Kin has grown from just 250 users to more than 3,250 in less than a year. Over 4,000 use Scotscan – the pioneering app that allows users to hold and transfer the token – following its upgrade in ’23.
The partnership comes ahead of Scotcoin’s planned listing on a cryptocurrency exchange during 2024. Scotcoin is developing a wide network of third sector organisations and preferred partners in the private sector. These will accept the token in exchange for a range of goods and services. The initial focus will be on food, clothing, and shelter.
