Great news – we’re working steadily through our list of tasks to deliver a fully permissioned blockchain by the end of the year…
In 2017 we were talking about theoretical concepts in our Proof of Concept stage, this year has been all about making those concepts a reality. We’re really pleased with the progress and the ground breaking work being done with our partners Cloudsoft. With any software development process, progress is never linear but working with world class developers at Cloudsoft has proved very fruitful and rapid.
What we have to remember is that some of this stuff has never been done anywhere in the world before – it truly is a world first, being done right here in Scotland.
But we’re now 2/3rds finished!

Your input needed!
Right now, we’re making decisions about things which will affect the overall feel and look of the new blockchain and its Scotcoin integration – how it works, what features it will have, how big the buttons are on the wallet (so Temple can see them!!). But we need more input from a wider audience to make sure it fills every dream you ever had about a blockchain (and all the practical stuff too).
We keep on being asked for different locations for our famous Meet Ups, but as the team is busy getting the work finalised and ready for beta testing we’re preparing a webinar on 14 June. The whole team will be on hand to answer your questions, it’s a unique opportunity for you to get your Scotcoin question answered in full.
We need to know:
- what worries you have about cryptocurrency in general
- tell us what you’d like to see in the new wallet
- ask us anything you like about the development and how it’s being implemented – it really is an open forum!

Beware the scammers!
Sadly, whilst we’ve been cocooned in coding mode over the last few months, a few Scotcoin scammers have popped up. We’ve reported these to Twitter and Facebook, but as quickly as we close them down, more keep on popping up. The only legitimate Scotcoin giveaway in the next few months will be via the beta test programme. Anything else is a scam!
