The Scotcoin Project CIC (TSPCIC) is delighted to introduce a new Grant Scheme, to help new and start-up businesses, CICs and charities. We are looking to support new initiatives that align with our own values around support, help and deliver positive social impact.
We are excited to offer a comprehensive support package to the value of £4,000 designed to help successful applicants succeed.
The award includes:
- Marketing and Brand Support: Receive expert guidance and assistance with developing and implementing your marketing strategy.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded professionals and organizations to expand your network and discover new opportunities.
- Promotional Materials: Benefit from customised marketing / POS materials to promote your brand or cause.
- Scotcoin: An award of 5,000 Scotcoin.
- Website support: A new website created for your business or support with an existing one.
- Carbon Offset: An allowance of 20 tonnes of carbon offset for your business or enterprise.
- BBX: An account with specialist business network BBX.
- Website, Social Media, Magazine and Newsletter Exposure: Gain exposure across all platforms including website, social channels (with an overall audience of 20k+).
- Digital Products: Digital products will be made available to each successful applicant, and this includes ‘Blockchain, Bitcoin And You’ which offers an overview of the rapidly changing crypto world written by Scotcoin Project CIC CEO, Temple Melville.
The scheme operates quarterly.
There will be two awards per quarter.
The first tranche of submissions will be accepted between November 1st, 2024, and 1st February 2025 via email application. A downloadable form will be available on the Scotcoin website at Scotcoinproject.com or can be requested by emailing [email protected] subject line ‘TSPCIC Grant’.
The closing date for this is: Midnight GMT, 1st, February 2025.
Winners will be announced on 24th February 2025.
The second tranche of submissions will be accepted between 15th February 2025 and 15th May 2025.
The closing date for this is: Midnight GMT, 15th May 2025.
Winners will be announced on 2nd June 2025.
We will announce details for the rest of 2025 in due course.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at time of application.
- Geographic Location: The scheme is open to all territories.
- Industry sector eligibility: Applicants are welcomed from charities, CICs, third sector and businesses that can show they add positive social value in their operations.
- Amount/value/ purpose: The value of the award is estimated at £4,000 cash equivalent. No cash alternative is offered.
- Accountability: Successful applicants will need to nominate a member of their organisation to be directly accountable and contactable to TSPCIC to share updates and advise of progress.
- Repayment: No repayment is required in the scheme.
- Use of the award: The grant needs to be used in acceptable ways conveying messages and messaging that is positive and inclusive.
- Non-compliance: Should the recipient not fully meet their obligations TSPCIC may look to suspend or terminate the grant.
- Monitoring: Grant recipients will be monitored to ensure the grant is used in alignment with the grant’s objectives. A quarterly update on progress to be delivered via email on specified dates to be agreed.
- Enterprises must either be start-ups or no older than a year old at application.
- Feedback mechanism: Recipients are invited to offer feedback on their grant experience to help foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- No applications can be accepted from friends or family linked to Scotcoin or The Scotcoin Project CIC.
- Acknowledgement and Publicity. Recipients must acknowledge the support and involvement of TSPCIC in all promo material, reports, publications and press/social media.
- TSPCIC reserves the right to use the recipient’s name, logo and details of the funded project for promotional purposes across all key media platforms.
- TSPCIC accepts no liability for any loss, damage. or personal injury suffered by the recipient or any third party in connection with the use of the grant funds. TSPCIC is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses incurred by the recipient.
- TSPCIC will collect and process applicants’ personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and The Data Protection Act 2018. By applying for the grant, you consent to the collection of your personal data and processing of your personal data for the purpose of administering the scheme.
- TSPCIC reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Applicants will be notified of any changes by email or online at www.scotcoinproject.com
- By submitting an application for the TSPCIC Grant Scheme you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
All applications will be assessed and evaluated by a TSPCIC panel including the CEO of the Scotcoin Project CIC, Temple Melville. Successful applicants will be notified by email..
